Ada started with Sutherland in 1999 and has played a key role in every step of the company’s evolution since. Following her time at Samsung Electronics overseeing import logistics, Ada started at Sutherland as a Customer Service Advocate before rising to Shipping Supervisor and Production Coordinator. Ada’s experience spans across the organization- from managing customer relationships to coordinating logistics, procurement, and production. Ada’s ability to optimize employee potential and equipment efficiency against resource constraints- while maintaining customer focus- is instrumental to growth.
Manny has deep experience in the corrugated display industry, starting in sales at Visart/Genetra in 1996 and founding D&D Display Group in 1998 before taking on PM and VP roles at other display companies. Manny joined Sutherland Packaging in 2017 and immediately revamped marketing and sales recruitment, resulting in 20% year-over-year sales growth. He is a leading proponent of digital printing technology and grew the Sutherland Packaging brand to a national scale through trade partnerships as the company developed robust in-house capabilities. Manny’s focus is on growing revenue through innovation, team leadership, and close collaboration with Sutherland customers.
Jake joined Sutherland Packaging full-time in September of this year. Previously, Jake rose within the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, taking on progressively more advanced roles in financial analysis, correspondent banking, policy consulting, and crisis response. Jake left the Fed in 2021 to finish his MBA at NYU Stern School of Business while simultaneously joining Anchor- a small fintech startup- as Head of Operations. There, he stood up the compliance, risk management, legal, customer service, and marketing functions of the business while growing the team from 3 to 15 employees. Jake’s short-term focus is on creating data-informed decisions that help the company achieve its revenue and profitability targets.
Joining Sutherland Packaging in 2009 as the first non-family CEO. For over a decade, Paul has supported business growth through technology and operational improvements, financial analysis, strengthened investor and vendor relationships, and a collaborative vision for the company. In 2017 Paul stepped to the CFO role during several years of strong growth and technological implementation, with Tom Sutherland returning to support as CEO. Paul has an extensive background in various businesses, having developed custom software systems for the insurance and reinsurance industries, manufacturing, distribution, finance, and education sectors.
